Fibers

Our Fibers Add Long-Term Durability to Your Concrete

There are different types of fibers available to reinforce your concrete:

Micro Synthetic Fibers

Mono-150

MONO-150 fibers are manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene resin, containing no reprocessed olefin materials, and exceed the requirements of ASTM C 1116 “Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete,” Type III Synthetic Fiber-Reinforced Concrete. MONO-150 fibers are manufactured to the requirements of the International Building Codes. MONO-150 fibers are designed for early crack-control but they also do an excellent job of increasing the impact, shatter, and abrasion.

FIB-300

FIB-300 fibers are manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene resin, containing no reprocessed olefin materials, and exceed the requirements of ASTM C 1116 “Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete,” Type III Synthetic Fiber-Reinforced Concrete. FIB-300 fibers are manufactured to the requirements of the International Building Codes. FIB-300 fibers are specifically engineered for use in concrete as secondary reinforcement, and for the purpose of controlling plastic shrinkage and settlement cracking.

Microcast 100

MICRO-CAST 100 fibers are manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene resin and exceed the requirements of ASTM C 1116 “Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete,” Type III Synthetic Fiber-Reinforced Concrete. They are specifically engineered for use in concrete as secondary reinforcement and controlling plastic shrinkage and settlement cracking.

MICRO-CAST 100 fibers are 1/4” in length with extremely small diameter that makes them perfect for precast, stucco, shotcrete, and architectural concrete. MICRO-CAST 100 fibers are manufactured to the requirements of the International Building Codes. MICRO-CAST 100 fibers are designed for early crack- control but they also do an excellent job of increasing the impact, shatter, and abrasion resistance of the concrete.

Microcast 200

MICRO-CAST 200 fibers are very small diameter, fibrillated fibers manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene resin and exceed the requirements of ASTM C 1116 “Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete,” Type III Synthetic Fiber-Reinforced Concrete. They are specifically engineered for use in concrete as secondary reinforcement and controlling plastic shrinkage and settlement cracking. MICRO-CAST 200 fibrillated fibers are extremely small in diameter that makes them perfect for precast, stucco, shotcrete, and architectural concrete. MICRO-CAST 200 fibers are manufactured to the requirements of the International Building Codes. MICRO-CAST 200 fibers are designed for early crack-control but they also do an excellent job of increasing the impact, shatter, and abrasion resistance of the concrete.

Macro Synthetic Fibers

Forta Ferro

FORTA-FERRO® is an easy to finish, color blended fiber, made of 100% virgin copolymer/polypropylene consisting of a twisted bundle non-fibrillating monofilament and a fibrillating network fiber, yielding a high-performance concrete reinforcement system. FORTA-FERRO® is used to reduce plastic and hardened concrete shrinkage, improve impact strength, and increase fatigue resistance and concrete toughness. This extra heavy-duty fiber offers maximum long-term durability, structural enhancements, and effective secondary/temperature crack control by incorporating a truly unique synergistic fiber system of long length design. FORTA-FERRO® is non-corrosive, non-magnetic, and 100% alkali proof!

HPS 650

HPS-650 fibers are High-Performance Synthetic Macro Fibers that are manufactured from 100% virgin co-polymer resin and exceed the requirements of ASTM C 1116 “Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete,” Type III Synthetic Fiber-Reinforced Concrete. HPS-650 fibers are manufactured to the requirements of the International Building Codes. HPS-650 fibers are specifically engineered for crack containment and help control plastic shrinkage cracking. HPS-650 fibers provide long-term durability, fatigue resistance as well as concrete toughness.

HPS-900 PC

HPS-900 PC is a High-Performance Synthetic Macro fiber that is manufactured from 100% virgin copolymer resin. HPS-900 PC fibers are Engineered and Manufactured to exceed the requirements of ASTM C 1116 “Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete,” Type III Synthetic Fiber-Reinforced Concrete. HPS-900 PC is a monofilament macro fiber that is designed for use in precast and other crack-containment applications.

Blends

850 Blend

850 Blend is a blend of low carbon, drawn wire fibers and polypropylene synthetic microfibers. The combination of the two proven fiber types provides a reinforcement system that addresses plastic shrinkage as well as restrained shrinkage in concrete slabs. Blending both fiber types into one, pre-measured water-soluble bag offers and engineered, cost-efficient way to provide a highly effective alternate to welded wire fabric and rebar. FRC 850 Blend fibers are uniformly distributed throughout the concrete to assure the owner, contractor, and engineer of excellent crack control. Complies with ASTM C 1116, Type III Synthetic Fiber-Reinforced Concrete or Shotcrete and ASTM A 820, Type V steel fiber, modified cold-drawn wire.

HPS-950

HPS-950 Blended Macro/Micro fibers system incorporates the second generation of macro fibers. They are made of High-Performance co-polymer macro fibers blended with 100% virgin polypropylene micro fibers. HPS-950 fibers are Engineered and Manufactured to exceed the requirements of ASTM C 1116 “Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete,” Type III Synthetic Fiber-Reinforced Concrete. HPS-950 fibers are manufactured to the requirements of the International Building Codes. The high modulus, high strength fibers are distributed throughout the concrete to provide excellent crack control and add toughness.

Steel Fibers

CS 1000 (Type II)

CS-1000 Steel Fibers are made of low carbon, cut sheet steel with a tensile strength from 50 to 100 ksi. They contain deformations that run down the fibers and give an incredible mechanical bond to the concrete matrix. The CS-1000 fibers provide a uniform distribution of reinforcement throughout the concrete that increases the tensile strength, impact resistance, shear strength, and ductility of the concrete. Complies with ASTM C 1116, Type I Steel Fiber- Reinforce Concrete or Shotcrete and ASTM A 820, Type II, cut sheet.

FFE 1250 (Type I)

FFE 1250 Steel Fibers are made of low carbon, cold drawn steel wire and have a minimum tensile strength of over 140 ksi. They contain deformations and dimples that run the full length of the fibers and give an incredible mechanical bond to the concrete matrix. FFE 1250 Fibers provide a uniform distribution of reinforcement throughout the concrete that increases the tensile strength, impact resistance, shear strength, and ductility of the concrete. Complies with ASTM C 1116, Type I Steel Fiber-Reinforce Concrete or Shotcrete and ASTM A 820, Type I, cold drawn wire.

FLD 1500 (Type IV)

FLD-1500 Steel Fibers are made of low carbon, drawn steel and have a minimum tensile strength of over 140,000 psi. They contain deformations that run the full length of the fibers and give an incredible mechanical bond to the concrete matrix. FLD-1500 Fibers provide a uniform distribution of reinforcement throughout the concrete that increases the tensile strength, impact resistance, shear strength, and ductility of the concrete. Complies with ASTM C 1116, Type I Steel Fiber-Reinforce Concrete or Shotcrete and ASTM A 820, Type V, modified cold-drawn wire.
